[3] “Your lunch,” I said grimly as the counter for ‘white bread’ went up. “Your dinner and breakfast too.”

[3] “M-master!”

[3] “”Bread~? Meat~?””

[3] “Hehehe… ahahahaha!” I laughed hysterically. “You’re right, it feels good to rampage. I should do it more often, gyahahaha!!!”

[3] “T-truly, it’s bad for Master’s health…”

[3] “”H-hey, what about a small lunch? A little lunch? A-a rice bowl! Yeah, those are good.””

[3] I stopped when ‘white bread’ reached 99 units. I looked at them and asked, “Don’t you want bread? It’s good. It’s lunch.”

[3] All four of them shook their heads. Well, Sui-tan shook all over, and in the end, that was what made me relent. After all, I shouldn’t make her suffer just because the others were meatheads.

After a tense silence, I smiled at them and said, “I’m going to make lunch,” and made my way to the kitchen.

[1] In true glutton’s style, after they had eaten several bowls of Yakiniku Bowl, the question they have on their lips was ‘what are we having for tonight’s feast’?

“Hah? You’re still thinking about food?” I was shocked.

“Of course,”

“Good food is always a good thing to look forward to, Master.”

“”It will be steak, right? You promised.””

“”Steaky~ steaky~””

“Wait, wait, you already had endless steaks yesterday, you want more steaks today? No way, we’re going to have a regular barbecue-”

“Mu, we want steak!”

“Steak, please.”

I was dumbfounded. If I had to buy the meat to feed these gluttons, I would have long since lost all my money and become a pauper.

“One can only properly taste the meat from thick steaks,” Grandpa Gon said.

Chants of ‘Thick steaks! Thick steaks!’ soon filled the room, and I sighed to myself. So, steak dinners for two days in a row. Fine, whatever. Steaks are pretty easy to grill if you don’t really care about minor details. Furthermore, if I choose quality steaks, serving them barely warmed up on the grill would still be delicious.

Let’s think about this positively. If I use the good meat, I don’t even have to marinate it or even make it into skewers. Everyone could just start with a steak and decide if they want more later.

With the menu decided, it was time to choose the meats.

“First, the Gigantic Minotaur…” The piece of meat I pulled out of my [Item Box] had just the right amount of marbling and looked good enough to eat on its own. Personally, I wouldn’t mind making a Sukiyaki with this, but since everyone else wants steak…

“Then, there’s also this… high-grade Dungeon Beef is always good.” Since it’s also red meat, I chose slightly leaner cuts. “I’ll marinate them before slapping the meat on the grill.”

For a moment, I debated getting out some dragon meat, but rejected it in the end. There just wasn’t enough. I had better save Dragon meat for future emergencies, in case I have to placate them for whatever reason.

After some thought, I decided to include Leviathan meat as well. Since we have loads of those, fish steaks are a thing, right? I much prefer the lighter white meat to the oily and fatty red meat, but that’s just me, I guess.

More importantly, I wanted to eat a Leviathan steak.

“Right, now that the meat’s been decided, time for the veggies.”

Fer would surely protest, but I maintain that no barbecue is complete without vegetables. Preferably ones grown by Alban.

Potatoes, corn, onions, peppers and carrots could all be delicious when grilled with just a sprinkle of salt.

I spent the rest of the day chopping up vegetables and slicing meat. Then, I went to [Net Super] and bought a whole crate of Soy-based Steak Sauce as well as alcohol. Let it not be said that I, your employer, am not a generous man.

I bought pretty much anything that caught my eye, including beer, whisky and wine from Tanaka’s. From cheap cooking wine for those cheap High Elves to several cases of different beers (black lable, star lable, Y-bis and others) as well as whisky for the hard hitters [4].

Unlike last time, I limited the amount of liquor. I really don’t want Grandpa Gon to turn into a garden fixture again. Not to mention, he was one of those who tried to threaten me…

Not that it has to do with anything.

It is much healthier for him not to over-drink.

Yup.

Now, with the ingredients all prepared, time to fire up the grill.
